FORTY THINGS WE ALL NEED TO KNOW ABOUT GOD

FORTY THINGS WE ALL NEED TO KNOW ABOUT GOD 1. God is self-existent and eternal; He had no beginning and will have no end (Genesis 1:1; Genesis 21:33; Isaiah 40:28; Psalm 90:2). 2. He is the creator of all things, including mankind (Genesis 1:1-2:1; Exodus 20:11; Acts 17:26-28). 3. He is Almighty God; He is omnipotent (possessing all power) (Genesis 17:1; Genesis 18:14). 4. He is the Lord God (Genesis 15:2; Numbers 14:17; Deuteronomy 3:24; Matthew 4:7; Hebrews 1:10). 5. He is “the Great, the Mighty God, whose name is the Lord of hosts” (Jeremiah 32:17-19). 6. He is the “I AM WHO I AM” (Exodus 3:14). 7. God is invisible (Colossians 1:15). 8. God is all-wise and all-knowing (omniscient) (Romans 16:27; Hebrews 4:13). 9. He is present everywhere (omnipresent) (Psalm 139:7-12; Jeremiah 23:23-24). 10. God is Spirit (John 4:24), and a spirit does not have flesh and bones (Luke 24:39). 11. God does not dwell in temples made with hands (Acts 17:24). 12. He is the living and true Go

The Christian's Duty To The World.

The Christian's Duty To The World. Ronny Milliner Indianapolis, Indiana. What is the relationship that the Christian is to have with the world? Paul answers, "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God" (Rom. 12:2). The Work -- Negative. Paul approaches this responsibility first from a negative standpoint. We are not to be conformed to the world. The word "conform" means "to fashion or shape one thing like another. . . . This verb has more especial reference to that which is transitory, changeable, unstable" (Vine, p.227). The ways of the world are unstable compared to God's ways. We must not allow ourselves to be poured into its mold. There are a number of areas in which it can be easy for us to become like the world. We can conform to the world in our dialogue. As surely as Peter's Galilean accent gave him away (Mk.

AN EXAMINATION OF THE MUSLIM RELIGION.     By Mr Sunny Adeyemi Oshifejo.              The muslim religion was founded early in the seventh century by mohammed. His followers call their faith Islam, which means "submission"(to the will of Allah). Their sacred book is called the Quran(or Koran) which "reading" We will undertake our examination of some of the teachings of this book.   JESUS IS A PROPHET OF ALLAH.     The Quaran -, chapter4, verse172 says,0" people of the book,(Christians) exceed not the limit in your religion, and say not of Allah (God) anything but the truth. Verily, the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was only a Messenger (Prophet) of Allah.......".                                     Muhammed affirms Jesus is a prophet. In the same chapter,verses151 and 152,Muhammed again says,"disbelieving in one messenger (Prophet) of Allah, is to disbelieving all and these indeed are veritable disbelievers ,and we have prepared for the disbelieving an

Is One Saved by Faith, Grace, or Works?

Is One Saved by Faith, Grace, or Works? By Robert Waters. So, you think your faith in Jesus will save you? If so, you may have been deceived regarding what mere faith can do. Are you aware that in Jesus' day many leaders of the Jewish synagogues believed in Jesus as the Son of God (had faith) but “they did not confess him,” which is required (John 12:42; Rom. 10:9-10)? Also, the devils who “believed and trembled” were certainly not saved (James 2:19). So why then do you think that “faith alone” (advocated by many denominational preachers) will save YOU?  A passage that is often thought to teach “faith only” (salvation at the point of faith) is Ephesians 2:8-9. But have you looked at it carefully? It states that GRACE, not faith, is what saves. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” Faith certainly has a part in justification that results in salvation, as do works (James 2:2-25); but faith that saves is faith that results in
