Let the Bible Speak About SEX

Let the Bible Speak
about SEX
Introduction
Since the days before the flood, sex has been perverted. Since the time of Sodom, men and women have practiced immorality. Today we have many problems about sex. Many customs have not been founded on Christ's teaching but on human traditions. Turning to the Bible, we can separate out the chaff and use the wheat of divine truth.

The following principles set forth the teaching of the Bible on sex:

Both single and married people should remember that the body belongs to God and should be used to do His will so we may accomplish the purpose He has for us.

Romans 12.1: "I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship."

1 Corinthians 6.13, 15: "The body is not meant for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body...Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I therefore take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never!"

God, the creator, gave us our sexual nature and made us in His image, which gives to us infinite value.

Genesis 1.27: "So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."

God gave to man his sexual nature, as Is true of his other basic hungers or urges, for good purposes.

Genesis 1.28: "And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply. and fill the earth and subdue it."

Genesis 2.18: "Then the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him."

The sex urge, as It is true of other urges that are good within themselves like the desire for food, is often expressed In a sinful way, such as homosexuality or fornication.

Romans 1.26-28: "For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error."

1 Corinthians 6.9-10: "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral (fornicators KJV) nor idolators. nor adulterers, nor homosexuals...will inherit the kingdom of God."
We are to keep ourselves pure. Sexual relations outside of marriage is condemned by Jesus.

Matthew 19.18: "Jesus said...Thou shall not commit adultery." (KJV)

1 Timothy 5.22: "...keep yourself pure."

Culture does not change God's law. Culture may be good or bad. Idolatry, paganism, immorality and witchcraft are wrong In any culture.

Mark 7.6-9: "And he said to them; Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, 'this people honours me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me. teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.' You leave the commandment of God, and hold fast to the tradition of men. And he said unto them, You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God, in order to keep your tradition."

Acts 5.29 "We must obey God rather than men."

Sexual relations are a normal and necessary part of marriage of the husband and wife.

1 Corinthians 7.3-5: "The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights. and likewise the wife to the husband. For the wife does not rule over her body, but the husband does; likewise the husband does not rule over his own body, but the wife does. Do not refuse one another except perhaps by agreement for a season, that ye may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come back together again, lest Satan tempt you through lack of self control."

The sexual union is to be restricted to those who have completed the customary rites and are married, thus they are husband and wife.

Hebrews 13.4: "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled; for God will judge the immoral and adulterous."

Conclusion:
It is unthinkable that a Christian can have a boyfriend or girlfriend for sex. It is the duty for the Christian to control his body and keep it in subjection to the will of Christ. the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4.3-8: "For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from unchastity; that each one of you know how to take a wife for himself in holiness and honor not in the passion of lust like heathen who do not know God; that no man transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger in all these things. as we solemnly forewarn you. For God has not called us for uncleanness, but in holiness. Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gave his Holy Spirit to you."
