Acts 11:26: - “…and when he had found him, he
brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that even for a whole year they
were gathered together with the church, and taught much people, and that the disciples
were called Christians first in Antioch…”
Acts 26:28: - “… And Agrippa [said] unto Paul,
With but little persuasion thou wouldest fain make me a Christian…”
1Peter 4:16: - “… but if [a man suffer]
as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God in this name….”
THESE STEPS TO SALVATION CAN
BE FAKED!
A). HEARING THE GOSPEL, not enough: - Matt.7:21; Rom. 2:13;
1John 3:7; James 1:22-23, 25; Acts16:17.
B). BELIEVING THE GOSPEL, not enough: - James 2:19, 24;
Galatians 5:6.
C). CONFESSION OF FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST, AS THE SON OF GOD,
not enough: - Matt.8:29; Mark1:24; 5:7;
Luke 4:34; Acts 16:17; 19: 15.
D). BAPTISM. IMMERSION IN WATER, not enough: - Acts 19: 1-7.
E). REPENTANCE, IF AFFIRMED, AND EMBRACED INTO A LIFESTYLE,
IS THE EVIDENCE OF A NEW BIRTH: - Romans 6:3-5 (v4). This is basic, the fruit
of salvation.
