Power of The Gospel.

"...For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith..." (Romans 1:16‭-‬17 NKJV).

Why is the Church in such rapid retreat?
Many are ashamed of the gospel of Christ. The gospel is too narrow to be tolerated in today’s world.

The gospel insists that there is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ.

The gospel insists that there is only one Church, in the plan of God, for Man's salvation. Eph.4:4; 1:22-23.

The gospel insists that there is only one Hope, in Christianity. The hope of eternal life. Eph. 4:4-5.

The gospel insists that there is only one Faith, which had been delivered, only once! Eph. 4:4-5; Jude 1:3.

The gospel demands that we acknowledge that we are sinners and must repent of what we have done.

The gospel insists that we can’t continue as others do, but we must be transformed.

The gospel insists that we are to die to sin and subject everything we have, including our very lives, to Him.

The gospel insists that we must deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him.

The gospel insists that the Just must live by the faith, of the Word of God.

The world doesn’t like any part of these messages.
So the Church compromises the gospel. We take off the sharp edges, and make the ancient gospel to be more in tune with modern sensibilities. Structurally, we remove God's word from the gospel, replacing it with our own.
When we do this to the gospel of Christ, we lose the power of the gospel. We’re no longer promoting good medicine, to heal from sin's infirmities, we’re selling snake oil!!!
The revised gospel can’t bring salvation to anyone! Matt. 7:21-27.

Only as we hold forth the joyous message and the harsh truth of the gospel can we see God’s power in those who will receive it and in His Church that will proclaim it.

I’m not ashamed—shame is the tool of the Enemy to steal our power of salvation!
We must happily, and loudly proclaim the gospel in the face of universal rejection, persecution, because a few will hear, and in hearing, be forever transformed, and be eternally saved!

Thanks.
